This was my first day at daycare. That's me sitting on the floor and the other baby is my new friend Kyle.
The lady that takes care of the infants at Devonshire Preschool is Elvia. My parents and I visited a dozen day cares in the West side of the San Fernando Valley (in one single day) and out of the 3 we liked best, she made the difference. In her care, none of the kids were crying, looked unhappy, had boogies, no one was being ignored. They all looked happy, entertained, busy, and well taken care of. There was soft music playing, and she had this weird almost palpable sweetness about her. That was weird, different, and from what my parents said, it was also very reassuring. The center itself was really clean, organized, and cute. All the staff was friendly and they seemed to enjoy interacting with the kids. That wasn't the case at all in most of the centers we visited, some were right down scary. What really did it, was the fact that all the kids seemed to feel at home, they were smiling and playing.
By the way, I got RSV from visiting so many day cares. I don't know which one I caught it from.

My First Whale Watching Trip
Daddy, Sissy and I sat at the back of the boat, hoping to see the Dolphins surf again.
I love the wind! (Sissy is so obviously the sunshine in my life.)
Mom was scared I would fall over so she didn't let me look over the edge...Party pooper, where's daddy?
Sissy gets mad whenever anyone gets near her food.
That was cool, it's outside of the Aquarium.

My puppy, just what I wanted.
This was not my idea.
Neither was this.
Grandpa Ripoll and Tio Richard were over.

First trip to Lake Tahoe
Grandpa Ripoll is a great guy, so we took him to Lake Tahoe to celebrate his birthday.
"Guys! This rock is COLD!!!" - We went down to the lake side where Grandpa Ascencio likes to swim...in the summer.
We road a boat in the lake for 3 hours.
Mom thinks I like flying like Super Man...in the freezing cold.
I'd rather be with dad, inside where it's warm
and the bottles flow freely...I heard grandpa order a few.
It's warmer back on the docks
There must be a lot of ladies down there
because Grandpa couldn't get enough pictures.
All I saw was this.
They drove ten hours through the night and they end up playing dress up with me?!
Underwear on my head?!!!
I don't think grandpa was the only one drinking, who slipped them some?
I'm sleeping where?
Daddy wears his LA hat just incase he gets lost.
My first time sledding, next stop, snowboarding.
You have no idea how cold these rocks are.
I had mentioned they were cold right?
This is how my uncle Richard and I roll!

Me and My Cousin Cody
My Aunt Jovita, Tio Cesar, and my Big Cousin Cody came to visit us today before our trip to Tahoe. I hadn't seen them in a while so it was great. Aunt Jovita took care of me the first week I was home from the hospital. Mommy was still recouping from the C-Section and Daddy was doing work around the house, so she was a big help during that time. She used to hold me and rock me to sleep.

My First Arts And Crafts Project
She's my mom, gotta love her.
For my first Art Project, they, (the parents) decided that I would make my first Christmas Ornament. In our Family it's the tradition to choose (buy) one Christmas Ornament per person, per year. The kids also get to make their own Christmas Ornament each year. This was my first. A Christmas Stocking with my footprint on one side and my hand print on the other. Mommy and Daddy had fun...

My First Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving 2011
Daddy did all the cooking, he massaged the turkeywith butter. And then he poured the salsa mixture on the turkey before putting it in the oven. Here are the Ingredients: 1 beer, 1 Pasilla-Ancho Chili Pod, a couple of Bay Leaves, 10 nice tomatoes, 1 Onion, 1 clove of garlic, & 1 green Bell Pepper. He put all the ingredients in the blender and let it crank.
I watched him the whole time and he really did a good job cleaning up after himself as he cooked.
Daddy cooked our Turkey, all by himself, Salvadoran Style.
What can I say, my bedtime is 6:30 PM
...And as far as the Apple Cider, I was framed, framed I tell ya!
